Rev. Philip George begins Fresh Bread Radio Broadcast on 99.5 FM (KKLA) in Southern California, airing every Sunday at 8:45 AM.

November 24, 2002 (Calvary Presbyterian Church) The Congregation
has voted to call Associate Pastor Rev. Philip George to the office
of Senior Pastor.

MEETING CALLED FOR SUNDAY NOVEMBER 24.
November 10, 2002 (Calvary Presbyterian Church) The Session
of Calvary Presbyterian Church, in conjunction with the Pastoral
Search Committee, has called and announced a Congregational Meeting
on November 24th, immediately after church services, for the purpose
of voting on a call to Philip George to the office of Senior Pastor.
Rev Ron Svendsen of Valley Presbyterian will preside over the voting.
An informational meeting on Sunday November 17th has also been called,
immediately following church services.
65TH
ANNIVERSARY CONFERENCE TO BE HELD AT CALVARY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
ON SATURDAY NOVEMBER 16.
October 7, 2002 (Calvary Presbyterian Church) The Session of
Calvary Presbyterian Church has announced the roster for its 65th
Anniversary conference: The Reign of God. Speakers will include
Dr. Robert Godfrey and Dr. Dennis Johnson, both of Westminster Seminary.
Also speaking is Rev. Ken Jones of the White Horse Inn radio program.
Rev. Ron Svendsen and Rev. Mark House, of the local Presbytery,
will also join in a panel discussion.
The
conference is free, starts at 10AM and is expected to run until
4PM. Lunch will be served at noon.
This
fall marks the 65th Anniversary of the founding of Calvary Presbyterian
Church in the city of Glendale, California. Calvary Presbyterian
Church began as an independent Bible presbyterian church as a forerunner
to the greater movement for a return to the Reformed roots of the
Presbyterian Church. Since the constitution of the Presbyterian
Church in America, Calvary Presbyterian has been a member of the
"PCA" in the Pacific Presbytery.

GEORGE (TE) IS ORDAINED AND INSTALLED AS ASSOCIATE PASTOR AT CALVARY
PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
June 23, 2002 (Calvary Presbyterian Church) Members of Pacific
Presbytery, meeting at a special Ordinatio Conventis (Ordination
Meeting) ordained Rev. Philip George to the office of Associate
Pastor and Teaching Elder at Calvary Presbyterian Church, of the
Pacific Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America.
Philip
George is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary with a M.Div.
degree and a graduate of Oral Roberts University with a degree in
Economics. He currently works at United Commercial Bank as Assistant
Vice President in the Business Banking Group. Philip has served
as Ruling Elder at Calvary Presbyterian Church for two years.

GEORGE (RE) IS CONFIRMED BY PACIFIC PRESBYTERY FOR ORDINATION TO
THE OFFICE OF ASSOCIATE PASTOR AND TO THE OFFICE OF TEACHING ELDER
June 2, 2002 (Calvary Presbyterian Church) Pacific Presbytery,
meeting at Valley Presbyterian Church, has unanimously confirmed
Philip George (RE) to the office of Teaching Elder (TE) after three
hours of examination. Philip George will be installed in his new
office at an ordination service to be held on June 23 at 6PM at
Calvary Presbyterian Church.
PHILIP
GEORGE (RE) CALLED TO SERVE AS ASSOCIATE PASTOR
April 7, 2002 (Calvary Presbyterian Church) The Congregation
has voted to support the call for current Ruling Elder Philip George
to the office of Associate Pastor at Calvary Presbyterian Church.
Philip George, who is a current member of Session, recently received
his license to preach in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA)
upon examination by the Pacific Presbytery. His name will be submitted
with signature by the two other members of Session to the Presbytery
and he will undergo examination by the Pacific Presbytery at the
upcoming meeting on May 4th.
