Church
Leadership
As a church with a Presbyterian form of government,
Calvary Presbyterian Church is ruled by its Elders, who are elected
by the laity, and are subject to the supervision and counsel of
the Pacific Presbytery, and the General Assembly of the Presbyterian
Church in America (PCA).
The Elders acting together are known as the "SESSION."
Under the Presbyterian Church in America Book of
Church Order, there are two types of elders: teaching elders, and
ruling elders.

The other primary office of the Presybterian church
is the Deacon who administers to the physical and financial needs
of the members of the church and our immediate community.
As a California non-profit religious corporation,
we also possess a Board of Trustees, who like a Board of Directors
of a public corporation, oversee and assist with the financial and
logistical planning and support of the church and its facilities.
The Board of Trustees includes all Officers of the Church (Elders
and Deacons) plus laity who are elected by the church members to
serve one year renewable terms.
